Madame Château
a work in progress
Arushi Couture
In a last minute decision, I decided to take home with me the first dress I tried on, created by Charles Lu for SS17. Mireille was so sweet and had this one of kind dress packed and ready for me to carry on my flight back to the states in a few days.
JaeUndrae's
The last time I paid to get my hair done professionally was for prom! He usually doesn't take new styling appointments sight unseen, but he melted when I asked him to make an exception for my wedding over the phone. North Austin's Loctician Magician. This man hooked me all the way up.
To Veil or Not to Veil
I assumed I would have one, but ultimately decided to let the dress speak for herself and opted for a stunning peacock feather-based headpiece instead
His & Her Favors
Eric's Day - a fresh aromatic musk complemented by cedar wood, cardamom, and nutmeg spices
Ryan's Castle - a warm, intoxicating aroma of balsam and amber with resinous tonka bean and dried plum accords
Giving props where they're due...
I thank everyone who helped keep me sane over this whirlwind three-month engagement. From tracking down emails, contacting vendors, creating pintrest boards, labeling, decorating, chauffering, and sending encouragement...your contributions were felt and appreciated! We can't wait to celebrate and share our immense joy with you as newlyweds.

While still in Dubai, I googled every judge who performs marriage ceremonies in Austin. Ala Issa Rae, I too am rooting for everybody Black. Judge Kennedy surprisingly already knew of my family, having been a client of my father's salon. So grateful, she agreed right away. Everyone loved her, and she just felt like fam. I love a good connect.
And don't sleep on Craigslist! We're so pleased with our photographer, Cait Adkins, who recently moved from Los Angeles. It is an honor to be her first wedding gig. Enjoy some of our faves from the day!
