People will stare. Make it worth their while.

step inside

Anyone can buy a piece of the runway, but style is innate. My style sometimes reflects my current mood, and others, an aspirational pursuit of more. I am confidently insecure, vibranty underwhelmed, and anxiously optimistic. I wear determination, discipline, doubt, desire.

Welcome to my closet. My great-grandfather, James Edward Collier, owned one of the first tailor shops in downtown Savannah, Georgia. Descending also from a long line of seamstresses, the joy of textiles must have been inherited. I grew up in the Live Music Capitol of the World (Austin, Texas), which may be why you can catch me singing the most random tunes at any moment of the day. Or perhaps it's just that this melanated goodness was embued with rhythm from birth. Music is always on my heart, and as such, you'll notice I pair an applicable song in all of my posts. Feel the feels, y'all.

Just a young 30something sharing her journey for purpose through self-reflection, travel, music, and of course...style.

What are we wearing today?

The Daily Grind

During the week, I moonlight as an omni-channel merchandise marketer for Bloomingdale’s. After grad school and internships with Oscar de la Renta and Giorgio Armani in New York City, the completion of extensive training with a global perfume house and an excitingly inspirational assignment in Dubai, I felt the itch to return. At the intersection of my passions for finance, fragrance, and fashion, I can fully express my creativity at work, flex my analytical prowess, and most importantly, afford to pay Sallie Mae back.
