Cherry Limeade

I grew up on Sonic's. (You know the rule. The apostrophe S is possessive. Anytime somebody tell you they are going to Walmarts, Neimans, White Castles etc., don't bother them for the next few hours because that's their jam. Erythang is better when you add that s.) When we finally got the freedom as HS seniors to go off campus for lunch, and it was my turn to pick, everybody knew the place and my impending order: corn dog, large tater tots, and a cherry limeade. It's a Sonic staple. And I haven't had one anywhere else since.

When I first saw the dress, I thought, 'Well isn't she bright!? Where are we going in this lime green number?' But she's my cherry limeade in the flesh. And when I slipped her on, I felt better than bad. *cues music*

I'm coming back to a promotion in NYC in a few weeks. And with the bittersweet news of my time in Dubai coming to an end, why not update my professional profile? LinkedIn can always use a spruce up, and don't nobody got time for boring headshots at 30. I teamed up with some local film students who were interested in expanding their portfolio for their graduating thesis. I think it's important to nurture young talent, developing minds, and budding artists, no matter where you are in life. Amazing work. And they captured my essence well.

As nostalgia kicks in, my taste buds still recall that sweet citrus sparkle. I wonder what flavors, colors, and scents will bring me back here?
