Taupe & Teal

Decadence. Opulence. Iridescence. Jewel tones are often assumed for evening wear. Refusing to be overshadowed by the depth of nightfall's beauty. An avid complementarian for darkness. But precious stones also shine in daylight. When paired with such an attraction as an amethyst, sapphire, onyx, emerald, ruby, topaz... the best supporting role always goes to...

Nude. Beige. Taupe. Anything but neutral.

Focus. Edit. Prune. Let something steal the spotlight on purpose. In this case, I chose a jacquard tulip skirt. But the rest are not insignificant. In spite of widespread applicability, a solid color doesn't have to be basic. This button up with slighty sheer window panes between reinforced, rectangular patches of the same is interesting on its own. But next to a jewel, it's an underpinning.

I am where sandy insets meet champagne embossed conch shells floating in shimmering seas.

I'm my own crown jewel.

I'm so blue. And green.
