Breaking Fast

For a thirty minute trek out to Qasr Al Sultan, I continued wearing a beige wrap dress from the day. Wraps, shawls, scarfs...anything with extra length is super versatile and customizable all occasions. Shorten, lengthen. Bright accessories, demure. Up-do, fro it out. Show as little or as much skin as you desire. This one is a synthetic spandex blend (for stretch and flow), but many on the market today are made of nice silks, satisfying the bridal craze for monotone dresses in a plethora of cuts and shapes. I'll focus one day on the many different ways you can style something like this. Just know that the combinations are as fun as they are endless.

I kept it simple and professional throughout the day, running around on a pair of broken-in leather & suede dual-texture chocolate pumps with buckle embellishments. I went more conservative for the chilly office environment, but also for the traditional nature of an iftar buffet.

Doctors always say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But I'm learning a greater appreciation for the meal which breaks the fast every sundown during Ramadan. With every city I find myself in, I become more adaptable, and every conversation with a stranger brings me closer to the culture from which they've come. I'm the same me. Just wrapped in a slighter different package.
